Here is some information your instructor wanted you to have:
Seed bomb ideas:
Seeds for pots (sun annuals) - things that should definitely come up
Cosmos
Marigolds
Zinnias
Cornflowers
Nasturtium
Small sunflowers
Native seeds (sun garden):
Black-Eyed Susan
Milkweed
Echinacea/Coneflower
Wild Bergamot
Spotted Beebalm
Foxglove Beardtongue
Supplies:
Gum Arabic -
you can get it on Amazon
But there is a great paint supply store called Kremer Pigments (247 W 29th St, NYC) that carries it and other great supplies too
Stuff that is good to grind or use in gum arabic:
Turmeric
Paprika
Cinnamon
Charcoal (use mask while grinding)
Slate
Any nicely colored easily broken up rock (that’s what I use :)
You can try spices like - ground thyme, dill, mustard or sage
If you want to get your powders real fine, you can also use a muller tool.
