Jenny Hunter
Jenny Hunter-Astrachan grew up in Tennessee, where her Grandma Mae, a farmer and self-described pack rat, introduced her to the art of repurposing household materials. She was inspired to invent a fitted hinged dental retainer out of Grandma Mae’s broken hair pins, and became the envy of her 3rd grade class.
She has worked as a producer and a writer on various television and film projects, including The Daily Show, Da Ali G Show, Borat, Good Hair, and My Grandmother’s Ravioli.
Jenny lives in Brooklyn with her two great kids and great husband, who all love turning trash into treasure.
